The Chamber, in partnership with Minnesota State College Southeast (MSCS), is excited to introduce Synergy Academy to the Winona area for high school juniors and seniors.
This program is open to ALL high school juniors or seniors in the region - it doesn't matter if you go to public school, private school, or home school.
Synergy's purpose is to be a powerful connecting force influencing worker skills in preparation for employer needs. It helps to create immediate pathways of opportunity, momentum, and transferrable skills. Synergy educational pathways are focused on fields correlating with industry need and employment options in the greater Winona area.
By focusing on employment options and needs in Winona, Synergy is also able to help students gain hands-on experience INSIDE local businesses. You read that right: not only do you receive instruction with the current technologies at MSCS, but you will have the ability to see and implement the skills you are acquiring at what could be your future employer!
There are currently 6 programs available: engineering/CNC precision machining, electronics, CNA, CNA to LPN prerequisite courses, CAD basic drafting, and construction. Looking down the road, we are hoping to include several other technical programs as well. Through Synergy you will also gain the resume-worthy Power Skills Certification.
